The Image 15.5 S treadmill is a step up from the Image 10.0 Treadmill and is a mid level machine from Image with other models that include the Image 17.5 Treadmill and the Image 19.0 R Treadmill.

The 15.5 treadmill has a couple of nice upgrades over the Image 10.0 with an extra dose of horsepower (2.5 hp vs 2.0 hp on the 10.0), power incline up to 10%, 4 preset weight loss programs and the Mytracks Step Counter that keeps track of the number of steps you take during your workout.

With these improvements over the Image 10.0, you'd think it would be a slam dunk that I recommend the Image 15.5 S.

Not so fast, although there are reasons to like the Image 15.5 S, there are a couple areas where this treadmill is lacking as well.

My biggest gripe with this treadmill is the small running area of only 17" x 50" that, quite simply, doesn't cut it for running (unless you're 4 feet tall that is).

To get an Image treadmill that you won't have to compromise on, you need to move up to the Image 17.5 Treadmill at the least. With the 17..5 you'll have the ability to run without worrying about being thrown off the unit.
