The Tunturi is a nice rowing machine that has a lot of features for the money. Similar to the Kettler Coach rowing machine, the Tunturi uses silent magnetic resistance that provides a smooth, consistent workout.

One thing to note about the magnetic resistance: If you are looking for a rowing machine that will seamlessly mimic rowing in water, the rowers with magnetic resistance should not be your first choice as the resistance from these machines is constant at every effort level.

There are several things to like about the Tunturi rowing machine like the double rail seat glide system, good computer and pulse rate measurement...

Where the Tunturi falls short, is when you match it up against the Kettler Coach rowing machine and Lifecore Rower.

The Kettler has all the features of the Tunturi (magnetic resistance, good computer) but the adds 16 muscle building exercises you can perform with the standard padded board.

The Tunturi also falls short of the Lifecore and Kettler in the warranty department. The Tunturi has a 3 year warranty, where the other two have a lifetime frame and long parts and labor warranty.

You can't go too far wrong getting a Tunturi Rowing Machine, but for the same money I would get the Kettler Coach or Lifecore Rower instead...
