Schwinn 113 Exercise Bike Review

The Schwinn 113 Upright bike sits atop the Schwinn upright exercise lineup with models that include the Schwinn 101, Schwinn 103, and Schwinn 112 exercise bikes.

Yes the Schwinn 113 is the most expensive of the Schwinn upright bikes, and it's easy to recommend the most expensive bike, but I do have my reasons to do so.

The first argument I'll make for getting the Schwinn 113 over the 101, 103 and 112 is the fact that this bike is loaded with all the goodies you want on an exercise bike like super adjustable handlebars and seat, tons of built-in workouts, a backlit LCD display console, bio-fit pedals and a long warranty.

You get all this for under $400, which is a tremendous value in upright exercise bikes and is unmatched by any other lower end bike in the industry (Reebok, Proform, Weslo, New Balance, Edge and Nordictrack)...

Schwinn 113 Key Specs and Benefits

  • 16 levels of resistance
  • Workout programs including 6 profile courses with Calorie Goal, BMI
  • Measurement, Recovery Test, Results Mode, Quick Start and 1 Manual mode
  • Backlit LCD computer display including Time, Interval Time, RPM, Watts, Distance, Pulse, Speed, Calories, Resistance and Alpha-numeric prompts
  • Regular Schwinn Bio-Fit Comfort saddle with micro-adjustable fore/aft seat slider
  • Schwinn Bio-Fit angle adjustable handlebars with integrated grip heart rate sensors
  • Micro-adjustable fore/aft console slider

I'll also go back and reiterate a point I made when comparing the Schwinn 101 and 103 upright bikes to make a point about investing in equipment.

The Schwinn 113 packs additional features and conveniences that far exceed the small investment you would make buying the Schwinn 112. It doesn't even make sense to get the lesser model when you gain so much for so little invested.

The Schwinn 113 exercise bike is my 'best buy pick' in this price range and a great all around bike for the home user on a budget...
