Weslo 735 Elliptical Trainer

If you're shopping for an elliptical trainer under $300, the choices are few, and the amount of total 'crap' on the market is at an all time high.

It's likely you'd be better off taking your money and lighting it on fire at this price point, because at least you'll keep warm for a few seconds.

Forget about getting any bells and whistles in this price range too. If the elliptical you're shopping for does have a lot of options at this price point, run screaming from it, because the manufacturer had to cut corners on the drive system (the most important part of any elliptical) to put them on the machine.

Another thing to consider with a budget elliptical is you're going to get manual resistance at best, and at worst, no resistance at all. You'll end up wishing you invested another $200 on a better machine like the Fuel FE44 Elliptical...

Weslo 735 Elliptical Key Specs and Benefits:

  • Adjustable Manual Resistance
  • Oversized Pedals
  • 18'' Stride Length
  • Large LCD Display
  • 4 Personal Trainer Programs
  • Easy Pulse Heart Rate Monitor

Even after bashing this elliptical earlier, I do recommend it - but let it be known I do have reservations about my decision.

I, Personally, wouldn't even consider getting a bargain basement elliptical trainer (or treadmill, exercise bike or home gym for that matter) like the Weslo because I know it won't last for long, and I'll be out shopping for a new elliptical in under 18 months.

When manufacturers cut pricing this low to attract customers, they have to cut corners in build quality and component durability - that's something I can live without...
