Sole e25 Elliptical Trainer

The Sole E25 Elliptical is the entry level elliptical machine in the Sole family that includes the Sole E35 elliptical, and the Sole E95 elliptical in ascending order of cost from lowest to highest.

Sole may not be the first name that pops into your head when you think about elliptical trainers. It's probably Proform, Reebok o Schwinn - but just because the name is unfamiliar, don't let that stop you from considering an elliptical like the Sole e25.

Most of the so called 'budget elliptical trainers' on the market are unstable pieces of junk that would be more at home in the junk pile than in you home gym.

Luckily, Sole recognized this fact and decided no to make a low end, breakdown prone machine in hopes of keeping their solid reputation in tact.

Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer Key Stats and Specs:

  • Eddy Current Magnetic Break System
  • 2 degree inward slope of foot pedals reduces ankle and knee stress
  • 16 levels of resistance
  • 19 lb. flywheel and a high gear ratio
  • Heart rate chest strap
  • 300 pound user weight capacity

Sole made the smart decision by pricing their lower end machine around the $1000 price mark, because once you get under this price, most manufacturers have to cut corners along the way to make any money on a machine.

The Sole e25 has a lot going for it, for starters you get a 20" stride length (not usually found on any elliptical trainer under $2500), their patented 2 degree sloped foot pedal configuration they developed with a leading physical therapist that reduces knee and ankle strain and a good, stable elliptical motion that rivals machines that are much more expensive.

As much as the Sole e25 has going for it, I like the Sole e35 elliptical even more with it's added features that come with a very small investment above the Sole e25...
