Smooth CE Elliptical Trainer

The Smooth CE Elliptical is a machine packed full of value with wireless heart rate control, adjustable foot pedals, a small footprint that will fit almost anywhere and a long lifetime warranty on all parts.

It's even designed in Germany by Porche engineers. So the question asks, "Is the Smooth CE Elliptical all it's cracked up to be?".

Well, the answer is both yes, and no, allow me to explain...

On the plus side the Smooth CE is one of the most advanced, compact ellipticals on the market.

Rounding out the Smooth CE's package are:

  • 7 workout programs
  • lifetime frame warranty, 1 service (including electronics)
  • training computer, w/ heart rate monitor
  • large 325 pound weight capacity
  • massive 48 pound flywheel for smooth operation
  • patented adjustable foot pedals
  • whisper quiet operational performance

It has all the bells and whistles most users will ever need including, wireless heart rate control, a large 48 pound flywheel, and a super quiet operation level that rivals any elliptical on the market.

These features alone make it worthy of investment. So what's the downside to the Smooth CE?

Here are a couple reasons that would make me look somewhere else for an elliptical if it were going into my home gym.

The primary reason I wouldn't get a Smooth CE, is the fact that the stride length is locked at 18". It's not the end of the world, but if you're over 6'-0" like me you'll want to get an elliptical with a stride of 20" if you're serious about your training.

The other thing that bothers me about the Smooth CE is I would expect more built-in programs at this price point. The 7 programs that are preprogrammed into the CE are good, but more options would be nice for a change of pace.

If you're short on space and need a strong, stable elliptical that's built to last, I recommend the Smooth CE.
