Nordictrack Spacesaver Elliptical Trainer
Nordictrack had the right idea when they introduced the Spacesaver elliptical. I think they'll sell a lot of them on QVC and the shopping channel to people who don't know any better about exercise equipment, specifically elliptical machines.
What Nordictrack has done with the Spacesaver elliptical is to position it in such a way that you get so wrapped up in saving space (and the space savings is only 24" when folded) that you lose sight of the fact that this machine is overpriced by at least $200 bucks.
On the Nordictrack commercials I've seen, they claim the Spacesaver Elliptical Trainer can target different areas on your legs because of the adjustable stride, that's a bunch of crap if I ever heard it, please!
Stride length won't help you spot reduce or tone your butt or whatever, stride length is directly related to speed, that's it...
The faster you go, the longer the stride length should be. It's a lot like running. Do you think you could run fast by taking tiny little steps? You can't, you'd crash and burn, then fall flat on your face!
Do yourself a favor, forget about the Spacesaver elliptical and do one of two things:
(note: you can get the almost identical Proform 900 elliptical for $200 bucks cheaper)
