Fuel FT94 Treadmill

Question

I read your reviews for best treadmills and was wondering what you think of the Fuel FT96. I just spoke with a guy from Dick's and he said that Fuel will no longer be making the FT94. Not sure if I should go ahead and get the FT94 online or go with the FT96?

Answer

The new Fuel line of treadmills is a good value for the money, especially the FT94 (read my review here) which is a much more refined offering than anything I've seem out of Icon fitness at this price point.

I'm not sure where the guy at Dick's got his information because to my knowledge there are no plans by Fuel to stop making the FT94 any time soon (maybe he's got some secret inside dirt the rest of the world doesn't know about?).

Should you get the FT96 instead of the FT94? That depends on how much running you plan to do on it. If you're smaller in stature and only plan on walking or jogging then get the FT94. If you're bigger and/or you plan on running more get the FT96.

You can get more information on the FT94 and FT96 treadmills at  Fuel Fitness.

Marge Casey :

I have a treadmill and an elliptical. The elliptical hurts my knees. I find with the treadmill that I get bored, even when watching TV or listening to music. I found an elliptical at a store that doesn't hurt my knees, so there must be some differences between them. I want something that involves working my arms and legs at the same time…hence the elliptical. I'm considering selling both my machines and finding an elliptical that is easier on my knees. Do you have any suggestions about an elliptical, or another machine that might be better for me? Thanks.

Marge, it sounds like you answered your own question about finding an elliptical that's easy on your knees.

The motion or stride on an elliptical machine varies by manufacturer so there is no standard answer to your question.

Which elliptical did you try that felt good?
