Proform 695 Treadmill

Question

What is your opinion on the Proform 695 Treadmill? We are looking for a treadmill to help us lose weight and get in better shape.

Answer

What do I think of the Proform 695 treadmill? Well, since you asked I wouldn't buy one personally…

And, not to keep beating a dead horse ( I think it died months ago, and you did ask) if you buy a cheap treadmill (under $1500) and expect it to hold up to moderate to heavy daily use for 2 people, you'll be in for a rude awakening down the road.

While it's true that you can get a treadmill like the Proform 695 and be happy with it for years - if you're only walking on it periodically and don't weight more than about 150 pounds - when you put the screws to a machine like the 695 and step up the activity level (running or sprinting) and up the weight of the user (150 pounds plus) you'll watch your wallet shrink faster than your pants size because you'll be dumping money into parts and labor to pay for all the breakdowns.

The bottom line is this if you're a smaller user and will only walk on a treadmill, a machine like the Proform 695 will suffice for awhile. If you have plans to use a treadmill for more than walking, as most people do when their fitness level inceases, get a good quality machine that will last you longer than your warranty like the treadmills I recommend here.
