Weider Pro 4900 Gym
Question
I have an option to buy a Weider Pro 4900 slightly used for $50. I see your reviews are not very flattering for Weider equip. I am looking for versatility and for a basic toning muscle building workout, ease of weight changes. I am 55 and recovering from years of muscle atrophy now that I am in remission.
Answer
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think the cheap home gyms from Weider, Marcy, and the never ending supply of knockoff manufacturers are a total waste of money - like most things in life you get what you pay for - If the Weider 4900 for $50 bucks is all you can afford, save up your money for a quality home gym and start doing some body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups and calisthenics.
Better yet, get the Bodylastics TO (Terrell Owens) Edition home gym that kicks the snot out of anything made by Weider (and it's under $100) or a body weight home gym like the TRX for under $200, or at the very least a set of dumbells. Sorry to be so harsh, but you did ask!
