Gold's Gym Power Spin 200
Question
I was looking for a review on the Gold's Gym Power Spin 200 exercise bike. I recently saw it for Around $140 at walmart, and it seems to be a good deal, as the price in other sites is above $300. Have you any advise? Is this bike as good as it seems? Thanks…
Answer
The Gold's Gym Power Spin 200 is another in a long line of exercise bikes sold at the big box retailers that should never be bought at any price. For starters, any piece of exercise equipment with moving parts in this price range (under $300) is a breakdown waiting to happen. There is no way to make a bike or any other exercise machine for this cheap with quality components that will perform well and last.
You mentioned that the bike is around $140 at Walmart and $300 on other websites so you think you're getting a deal (I found it on eBay for $119 in 30 seconds of searching) and you're not. Just because you can get a lousy exercise bike cheaper from another vendor, it doesn't constitute a good deal. I wouldn't even consider buying an exercise bike for less than $300 because I know it won't last longer than 6 months (especially if you weigh over 190 pounds like I do).
If you want a good exercise bike on a budget, read my exercise bike reviews and see the bikes I recommend in your price range. Just promise me you won't waste your money on this bike, PLEASE!
